2011 Black College Expo

On November 12, 2011, the DC FAMU NAA participated in the 2011 Black College Expo held at Reckord Armory on the campus of the University of Maryland College Park.

Hundreds of students from the Metro Area came to the Florida A&M University table during the time period that students interacted with university representatives. There were so many students that wanted to speak with someone from FAMU, the line stretched across the hallway. Our apologies go out to the representatives from Tuskegee University.  Even without the lure of on the spot admission or fee waivers, there were 20-30 people in line at times.  Obviously, Florida A&M University is a very desirable place to go to college among local high school students.

The Black College Expo held on November 12 is one in a series of a number of similar expos held in cities all over the county.  Find out more information about the Black College Expo by clicking here
